The Daryl K. Seaman Canadian Hockey Fund is a philanthropic organization dedicated to strengthening communities across Canada through the advancement of hockey, sport participation, leadership, and youth development. Established to honour the legacy of Daryl K. “Doc” Seaman—businessman, veteran, and lifelong community builder—the fund promotes access to sport as a pathway to personal growth, community cohesion, and long‑term well‑being.

Its work focuses on expanding opportunities for participation in hockey and sport; supporting youth leadership and development; advancing education connected to sport; and promoting programs that foster inclusion, teamwork, and community resilience. The fund also invests in initiatives that reduce barriers to participation for underserved groups, encouraging physical, mental, and social benefits through sport.

The Daryl K. Seaman Canadian Hockey Fund operates across Canada, directing resources to programs and organizations that strengthen communities through sport and development. Its national reach ensures that initiatives benefit diverse regions, helping young people build skills, confidence, and connection through inclusive and community‑driven programming.

The fund supports registered charities, community organizations, Indigenous groups, schools, sports associations, and youth‑serving institutions that demonstrate a strong commitment to expanding access and enhancing the developmental impact of sport. It collaborates with partners who advance equitable participation, community engagement, and leadership potential among young Canadians.

Funding is structured through recurring national grant cycles and long‑term community partnerships, ensuring continuity and stability for supported programs. As a permanent endowment fund administered through the Calgary Foundation, it provides sustained annual support that strengthens community capacity and ensures lasting impact for generations of Canadian youth.
