Banco Hipotecario Dominicano (BHD)

We are Banco BHD, a financial intermediation entity supervised by the Superintendency of Banks of the Dominican Republic, founded on July 24, 1972 as Banco Hipotecario Dominicano under the direction of Samuel Conde, founding president of our financial entity; Antonio Haché, Manuel Tavares Espaillat, Sebastián Mera, Juan Bautista Vicini, Carlos Sully Fondeur and José Antonio Caro Álvarez, a group of businessmen with a great perspective on banking.

Throughout our more than four decades of history, we have been pioneers in the local financial sector: from promoting changes in the national financial system by actively participating in the financial reform process in the Dominican Republic to becoming the first multiple bank in the country and being pioneers in the implementation of a corporate governance model. Our avant-garde vision has led us to be the national financial institution with the greatest international support.
