About

The Fund
The Sweden-Lithuania Cooperation Fund is today an independent Foundation, aimed to renew and strengthen the relations between the two countries. The interest from the foundation´s capital is used to support exchange between groups, organizations and individuals. 

The board, with four members from Sweden and four from Lithuania, is also interested in developing projects with new partners from the business sector. We are looking for external donors and partners that are interested in cooperation. 

Purpose
The main task of the Sweden-Lithuania Cooperation Fund is to work for bilateral exchange and knowledge sharing between the countries. Networking between young people to enhance social cohesion, creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship is focus. The Fund is also working to enhance Swedish language and culture in Lithuania and vice versa. 

Our grants
The Sweden-Lithuania Cooperation Fund supports the development of promising project ideas and the start-up phase of new projects with a clear development perspective. Particular attention is given to exchange and cooperation for network building between young people to promote social cohesion, creativity, innovations and the formation of new enterprises.

  1. Travel grants
    1. Can be applied for various purposes for travel up to a maximum of five (5) days). Fixed compensation for travel and accommodation.
  2. Project grants
    1. Joint development in Lithuania and Sweden, particularly cooperation between young people.
    2. Maximum amount for one project is 5 000 EUR / 50 000 SEK.
  3. Media grants
    1. For articles that present new sides of Sweden and/or Lithuania, appropriate for journalists, editorial offices, and media companies
    2. Fixed compensation for travel and accommodation.
