Background:

Shapno Chura Foundation (SCF), an indigenous youth-led organization, was established on June 10, 2023, in Mithapukur Upazila, Rangpur, with a vision to empower marginalized communities and promote sustainable development. SCF actively works towards gender equality, ensuring equal opportunities and advocating against gender-based violence. The organization is committed to good health and well-being by facilitating access to healthcare services and mental health support. To foster decent jobs and economic growth, SCF provides skill development, vocational training, and entrepreneurship programs for indigenous youth. Additionally, SCF plays a crucial role in climate action by promoting environmental awareness and sustainable practices. The foundation also works to reduce inequalities by advocating for the rights of indigenous communities and ensuring equal access to education, healthcare, and employment opportunities. Through various livelihood support programs, capacity-building initiatives, and economic empowerment projects, SCF actively contributes to the eradication of poverty. By aligning its mission with key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the organization strives to create a more inclusive, equitable, and resilient society.

Shapno Chura Foundation primarily serves indigenous children and youth by providing them with educational opportunities and leadership training.
