Drzavni zbor (National Assembly) - Slovenia

The National Assembly is the highest representative and legislative body in the Republic of Slovenia. Its main task is to perform the legislative function of the authorities, in which Members adopt the most important legal acts of the state. In addition to this function, the National Assembly exercises an electoral and supervisory function. The National Assembly is also the holder of other functions carried out by contemporary democratic parliaments: it represents social interests, resolves interest conflicts, adopts the Constitution of the Republic of Slovenia, accepts and monitors the state budget and is the creator and bearer of legitimacy.
