In February 1961, the Inland Navigation Inspectorate in Szczecin began its operations, taking over supervision of inland navigation from the Waterways Districts in Szczecin and Gorzów. Two rooms were designated as the Inspectorate's office at ul. Łasztowa 55 (later Energetyków), where it operated until 1994.
