The Regional Environmental Centre (REC) Macedonia implements the mission of the international organization the Regional Environmental Centre (REC) in the Republic of Macedonia since 1993.

The Regional Environmental Centre (REC) is an independent, non-partisan, non-advocacy, not-for-profit international organization that designs and implements programs to fulfill its mission to:
• build resilience to climate change,
• advance education for sustainable development,
• promote clean energy solutions,
• champion sustainable mobility,
• improve natural resources management,
• implement environmental legislation and
• strengthen environmental governance.

REC supports regional cooperation and provides leadership in government, public, private and non-governmental organisations for accessing the knowledge and tools that enable the environmental dimension of sustainable economic development.
