About

The Omani Investment Authority is the investment arm of the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and enjoys legal personality and financial and administrative independence. It is the Council of Ministers, which is responsible for the management, investment and development of the assets of the Sultanate of Oman locally and internationally. Its governorate is characterized by geographical diversity, as its investments are distributed in the continents of the world, and various sectors are covered, including the sectors of food, energy, logistics, communications and information technology, public services, finance and investment, food security, tourism, mining, industry and aviation. The Authority plays a pivotal role in leading sustainable economic development and contributing to the realization of the vision of the Sultanate of Oman to be an attractive destination for investment.
The Oman Investment Authority (OIA) was established by Royal Decree No. 61/2020 of 4 June 2020, where two different institutions were merged: the State General Reserve Fund and the Oman Investment Fund. Its Law was issued by Royal Decree No. 57/2021 of 18 August 2021
