Stand Against Cancer

Founded in April 2022 and officially recognized in August of the same year (Receipt No. 534/2022/RDA/C19/SAAJF), Stand Against Cancer (SAC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to the fight against cancer, with the following missions:

• Raising public awareness and educating the public about cancer (risk factors, warning signs, prevention, combating myths and stigma);
• Promoting early detection and referral to appropriate services, by facilitating access to reliable information;
• Providing psychosocial support to people affected by cancer and their families (listening, emotional support, support groups, referrals);
• Building capacity through training and information (patients, caregivers, young people, community liaisons, volunteers);
• Mobilizing resources and partnerships to support prevention, support, and social care initiatives;
• Advocacy for improved cancer awareness (patient rights, equitable access to information, screening, and support);
• Organization of community actions and events (campaigns, workshops, sports/cultural activities, school programs) to broaden impact.
