Date and place of Establishment: 14 January 2004 in Prishtina

Mission Statement: “To assist in the improvement of living conditions of the poorest communities in Kosovo by providing housing, infrastructure as well as researches in the field of local governance..”

Vision: “To facilitate the creation of a better Kosovo where all citizens have access to fundamental services such as appropriate shelter and advanced municipal services.”

Main objective of the project is to contribute to the improvement of the situation of socially vulnerable families in Kosovo, through provision of social housing The right for the proper shelter has been recognized also by the Kosovo institutions. For this purpose in 2010 Kosovo parliament has approved Law no 03/L 164 on housing financing specific programs. Through implementation of the project will be enhanced cooperation between Kosovo institutions responsible for social housing through establishment of regular communication mechanisms. In addition it will be supported Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning - Housing Department in gathering information, through establishment of a data base Envisaged main activities are as following: Organize and facilitate six working groups between central and local authorities; Facilitate seven municipalities to compile a three-year social housing program through on the job trainings; ; Establish a database with access from municipalities From implementation of the project will benefit following categories: Central government, particularly Ministry of Environment and Spatial Planning (MESP) and Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare (MLSW); Local government, particularly Municipal Directorates of Health and Municipal Centers for Social Welfare; Homeless families that belong to the following categories: Socially vulnerable families; Repatriated families; RAE community; Families whose houses were damaged in the last conflict in Kosovo
