CARE was founded in 1945 in the United States to alleviate hunger and despair in Europe with more than 100 million CARE packages. Today, CARE uses the experience and resources of a modern, international aid organization.

The focus of our work is the global poverty reduction. But poverty remains insurmountable, as long as human life is in acute danger. In war and disaster zones CARE does therefore fast and effective help with food, clothing and temporary shelter, bows with safe drinking water and medicines before the outbreak of epidemics. To those who have lost everything, CARE facilitated by reconstruction programs a new beginning.
