Turkish Red Crescent

Founded in 1868, the Turkish Red Crescent (TRC) has over a century and a half of experience of operating in the fields of disaster management, social services, health and educational support as well as delivering humanitarian assistance to those in need across the world. Ever since its establishment, the Turkish Red Crescent has lent a helping hand to 137 countries, including the humanitarian relief operations in 78 countries in the last decade. As a part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement as well as being a member to the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the TRC adheres to the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement’s universal principles of; humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity and universality.
