AMREF - Flying Doctors of Africa - works with the most vulnerable African communities to achieve lasting change as well as providing emergency medical care. AMREF's business has six focus areas: HIV / AIDS, Tuberculosis, Malaria, Family Health, Education, Water and Preventive Health Care. Currently, Amref Flying Doctors operates over one hundred projects, spread across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Ethiopia, South Sudan, South Africa and Senegal.
Amref Flying Doctors works with the development of health and medical care systems, building of local knowledge and infrastructure in the healthcare sector together with governments and authorities.
