Barndiabetesfonden

Barndiabetesfonden supports research that aims to prevent, cure or alleviate diabetes in children and adolescents. When children get diabetes, it is almost always the case of type 1 diabetes - juvenile diabetes - and type 1 diabetes is becoming increasingly common. The disease is fatal, and despite intensive daily treatment affected many children and young people with serious complications. The only thing that can change this is research.

Barndiabetesfonden is a foundation, and depends entirely on voluntary contributions from private initiatives. Each gift to the research gives hope for new breakthroughs! In 2011 shared Barndiabetesfonden 6 million kronor to child diabetes research, supporting 43 different research projects.
