ADRA Canada is part of the ADRA world-wide network, a global humanitarian organization with a presence in over 120 countires. Established in 1956 under the name SAWS and renamed ADRA in 1983 to reflect the more active humanitarian role that the organization was undertaking, ADRA has helped millions of people world wide through sustainable projects focusing on Health, Food Security, Water & Sanitation, Education and Economic Development.

The ADRA network works with people in poverty and distress to create just and positive change through empowering partnerships and responsible action.
