Pratham Education Foundation India

Pratham is a non governmental organization working to provide quality education and skilling to the children and youth of India. Established in 1994 to provide education to children in the slums of Mumbai city, Pratham has grown both in scope and geographical coverage. Today, we reach out to millions of children & youth living both in rural and urban areas through a range of interventions. To make its programmes sustainable and self-propelled in the long run, Pratham works closely with the school systems and the communities involved. Thousands of volunteers, mainly women, have been trained to Pratham’s initiatives to the grassroots.
