About
Created in 1907, at the initiative of a group of local traders, the Chamber of Commerce of Djibouti has since evolved into its Statutes to become in 2002, thanks to the last reforms, the Institution representative of the private sector to the national scale. Thus, all sectors of economic activity are represented in the deliberative body, the General Assembly which has forty four (44) elected members.
The Chamber of Commerce is headed by a President, who is the executive body, and who represents the Institution legally and officially, in all administrative acts. He is assisted in this task by a Bureau composed of eight (8) members elected by the General Assembly.
All elected Members shall volunteer and receive no remuneration or indemnity.
Services and Establishments managed by the CCD benefit from the experience of volunteer businessmen and women, motivated by the general interest, experienced in business management and mastery of business development commercial.
