Carillion is a leading international integrated support services business. We employ more than 46,000 people and operate in the UK, Canada and Middle East. We have annual revenues of more than £4bn. 

Although our roots are in construction, today we provide all the services needed to create and manage places which play a vital part in national economies and local communities. These range from buildings, to transport and power networks. We are involved from the initial project finance, through design and construction to ongoing maintenance and facilities management.

We work in partnership with the public sector to deliver important services which offer value for money and make a positive difference to the lives of people in the communities where we work. This may be providing meals to school children in the UK, highways maintenance in Qatar or snow clearance in Canada. Our people do the everyday things which make a big difference.

Our integrated business model enables us to use our three core service offerings of, support services, project finance and construction, either individually or in combinations to create unique solutions for our customers, designed to meet their specific needs.

Concerns about Carillion's debt situation were raised in 2015, and after the company experienced financial difficulties in 2017, it went into compulsory liquidation on 15 January 2018, the most drastic procedure in UK insolvency law, with liabilities of almost £7 billion.
