CODECH - Economic Development Council of Chihuahua

CODECH  is an autonomous entity, with public, private, academic and social participation, empowered for the planning, execution and follow-up of the meetings of strategic planning and with executive capacity to carry out the tasks derived from them and whose agreements will have the character of resolutions that will be submitted to the consideration of the Federal, State and Municipal Governments, as well as to the private and social organizations.

CODECH serves as facilitator of dialogue, debate and design and implementation of initiatives that start from the local to the regional, state and national. Its nature is of a consultative nature and it is the duty of the Executive Power to go to it in matters of economic development in the State.

It has an administrative and budgetary dependent program of the Ministry of Economy.

To promote decentralization in an integral manner and reduce regional inequalities in economic growth and social welfare, CODECH has promoted the creation of Regional Councils for Economic Development, which provide the State Council with the information and economic development needs of each of its regions. , thus articulating the main actors of local development.
