Our vision: We at PTF Europe believe that citizens and civil society can help resolve their countries‘ and communities’’governance challenges and hold their governments accountable. We support civil society in such efforts, primarily by strengthening their capacity, providing them with tools to strengthen their voice and visibility in specific sectors such as climate change and the environment, health, and education. Our activities are aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially Goal 16 that states Promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels.
Our mission: To achieve our vision, we mobilise money to provide sub-grants to local CSOs, in addition to helping them access donor funds directly; provide technical advice through expert advisers who have decades of experience in international development; we disseminate good practices from projects and CSOs it supports, as well as from PTF global experience; advocates for civil society engagement to reduce corruption, enhance integrity and accountability, and increase effectiveness of government institutions and call on donors to support CSOs in doing this work with capacity building and funds; and promote collaboration and mutual support among its network of CSO partners.
