Asesoramiento Ambiental Estratégico (Strategic Environmental Advice) (AAE), is a consulting firm specialized in environmental advice to governments, civil society and private companies, established in 2012 by Diego Martino and Guido Fernández de Velasco. We provide multidisciplinary services across eleven key work areas: Adaptation to Climate Change, Safeguards, Strategic Planning, Gender, Climate and Development Finance, Indigenous Peoples, Environmental Management, Protected Areas, REDD+, Environmental and Sustainability Law, and Urban Ecosystems. In addition, we bring expertise in project design, implementation, and evaluation, capacity building, stakeholder engagement, communication, data analysis, and policy analysis, all supported by strong project management and technical expertise.

AAE has successfully completed over 70 projects in the past 11 years. Our geographic focus spans more than 40 countries across Latin America, the Caribbean, and Africa, along with over 14 global projects. This successful and timely implementation rate is built on an effective administrative foundation with robust systems and processes, such as project management, financial management, stakeholder engagement policies, a strict code of ethics and other operational procedures that support project execution.

Coupled with our experienced core team and a vast network of associated consultants, this enables AAE to offer multidisciplinary services on a range of environmental topics with a mix of international, national, and local expertise tailored to each project and based on our broad network and solid experience.
