Nakuru Counseling & Training Institute

The Nakuru Counseling and Training Institute (NCTI) is situated in Centre of Hope, Neylan estate in Lanet/Free area along the Nakuru-Nairobi Highway near Shiners Girls. It's on a hill about 5 kilometers from Nakuru town.

The school was founded in 2002 by the Nakuru Christian Professional Association to reach out to the needy children around Nakuru, and since inception we have trained over 1800 students in various courses. Our institute is fully registered by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology as a Technical, Industrial, Vocational Entrepreneurial Training Institute (TIVET).

Our Mission is to empower communities towards alleviation of poverty through advocacy, capacity building and spiritual transformation. Our vision is to achieve a vibrant, holistically transformed community living with dignity.

The project is also empowering the youths with Entrepreneurial incubator concept and revolving funds for the graduated youths, mentoring systems and putting up transitional homes where the needy graduated youths are able to start independent life.

We also organize forums and seminar to sensitize the community on integral issues that have to do with health, legal issues, gender, entrepreneurship and environmental conservation. Our students are not charged for the seminars facilitated by NCPA.

2. Certificate and Diploma in Hairdressing & Beauty
3. Artisan, Craft and Diploma courses in Food & Beverage, Sales and Services
4. Trade Tests in Carpentry & Joinery, Welding & Fabrication and Tailoring & Dressmaking
5. Certified Public Accountants Course
6. ICDL and CCNA courses

We also offer special short courses to organized groups in ICT, book keeping, accountancy, embroidery, cake making,

We are an accredited examination centre with the following bodies;

• KNEC – Kenya National Examinations Council
• KASNEB – Kenya Accountants and Secretaries National Examination Board
• City & Guilds International
• CISCO – we are accredited to offer IT Essentials i.e. PC hardware and Software maintenance, and Network Engineering courses (CCNA).
• National Industrial Training Authority 

 We partner with other NGO’s and Children homes to train their students at our Centre in a Godly manner in all the courses listed above. We have quality hostels within the school compound, with a resident matron to ensure that their needs are met. We have Christian-based rules for students learning with us, as we endeavor to mold better citizens that would bring a positive change in the society.

Our institute also does corporate training on short courses to organized groups, and we also offer conference facilities to groups on weekends and holiday months. Our guest house is also offered at competitive rates for VIP guests and honeymooners.
