TARU was established in 1990 as an institution with trans-disciplinary expertise to engage with India’s development challenges. In 1996, it was registered as TARU Leading Edge Private Limited under the Companies Act, offering a commitment of cutting edge research and contextualized consulting services to its clients.

Taru Leading Edge is now Tarutium Global Consulting (our new name, pronounced as taru-shee-yum, and closely reflecting the meaning of tree’s abode). Taru’s transformation marks a new beginning where we position ourselves to deliver transformative insights, strategies, and solutions for sustainable, resilient, and inclusive global progress.

 We have also unveiled a new logo recently and a new website, which can be accessed at www.tarutium.com

 As Tarutium Global Consulting, we will continue to focus on our four core consulting practice areas: Environment and Planet, Infrastructure and Public Services, Social Impact, and Economy and Business, which are our main pillars of work. However, we are excited to introduce two new flagship initiatives: Tarutium Innovation Hub (promoting innovation through entrepreneurship) and Tarutium Knowledge Institute (promoting new insights and partnerships through collaboration and knowledge sharing).

 Furthermore, we are committed to strengthening our recently launched impact initiatives, Behavioral Insights and Communication Lab (enhancing the application of behavioral insights in policy and programs) and Center for Sustainable Health (advancing global health with equitable and resilient healthcare solutions).

 Taru, now Tarutium, has completed 28 glorious years of operation and established its presence in 25+ countries. We will leverage our extensive experience, innovative ideas, and future-ready approach to support our clients and partners in achieving their goals.
