ISA Award for Service to Humanity

The award – established in honour of His Highness the Late Amir, Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa – honours individuals and organisations that have worked towards transforming the world through humanitarian action, and inspiring others to perform similar acts of compassion and innovation.

As someone who had the privilege of working closely with His Highness the Late Amir, I firmly believe that this award is a wonderful tribute to his memory, and an acknowledgement of his dedication to humanitarian causes. Throughout his life, he interacted with all sections of society, taking the time to know citizens individually, and also, in underlining these interactions with a keen sensitivity and profound empathy.

It is a matter of pride that this award comes as a gift from Bahrain to the world. It is our contribution as a global citizen to encourage humanitarian action that leaves a better world for succeeding generations.

It is also our hope that it will inspire countless young people in different parts of the world to look for innovative ways to change the world and play their role in service to humanity.
