About

Newly rebranded consultancy Zutari, formerly Aurecon Africa. Zutari is an engineering, design, and advisory company.

We believe that engineering plays an integral part in modern society and recognise that we have a responsibility towards our clients and the broader community. Our clients’ aspirations drive everything we do. We constantly explore new possibilities and opportunities to identify or develop solutions to the complex challenges our clients face.

We offer more than traditional engineering services – we balance analytical and technical engineering with creativity and innovation to optimise our clients’ infrastructure assets across the full life cycle – from early project prioritisation and feasibility studies through to the maintenance and decommissioning phases.

Infrastructure digitising is at the heart of what we do. From the initial design of new builds and the retrofitting of digital technologies, to more established infrastructures and operations, we help our clients to digitise and improve their businesses – from industrial facilities to infrastructure and commercial buildings.

Firmly rooted in Africa, we understand and appreciate the diverse and dynamic circumstances prevailing on the African continent. We have a strong 88-year-old legacy – our first office was opened in 1932 in Cape Town, South Africa, and since the mid-1980s, the firm has steadily expanded its operations into Sub-Saharan Africa, North Africa and the Middle East.

Aurecon Africa has offices in 15 African countries and 11 offices in South Africa, with the main staff complement based in Gauteng and Cape Town. The firm has worked on over 8000 projects in 33 countries throughout Africa in the last decade.
