The marginalized members of communities where we work are the recipients of original livestock placements and training, and will pass on the gift to others in their community. Once families have the necessary skills in livestock case and improved production, we will provide the support necessary to enter the marketplace and negotiate better prices.
Kenya participates in the East Africa Dairy Development II (EADD II) project, made possible through a grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, enabling smallholder farmers to participate in East Africa's growing dairy industry.
