The Instituto Costarricense de Electricidad (ICE) is the Costa Rican government-administered provider of power and telecommunications services that is involved in the development of electric power-generating sources as well as the distribution of electricity in Costa Rica and Central America.
The corporation operates in two segments: electricity and telecommunications. It also produces and distributes power as well as telecom services for people, homes and businesses, including fixed and mobile services. Fixed services include traditional landline, public phones, internet connectivity and television while mobile services include prepaid and postpaid voice and data services. It also offers value-added services and content, security and backup and telephone network connections.
