1.The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the water and sanitation development project and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract [1]for Supply and Delivery of Office Furniture and Equipment for the Administration Building.

2. The Kwale Water and Sewerage Company now invite sealed bids from eligible bidders for supply and Supply and Delivery of Office Furniture and Equipment for the Administration Building

3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits by World Bank Borrowers, January 2011 revised July 2014 (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from, Kwale Water & Sewerage Company Ltd, Attention Procurement Manager, info@kwalewater.co.ke and inspect the bidding documents during office hours 0900 hours to 1600 hours from Monday to Friday excluding lunch hour (1300 to1400 hours) and public holidays at the address given below:

5. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of Kshs. 1,000.00 (Kenya Shillings One Thousand Only) per set. Bidders can access the bidding documents at our website and download for free. The method of payment will be through banker’s cheque in favor of Kwale Water and Sewerage Company; Account Number 1108004849 Kenya Commercial Bank. Bidders who download the bidding document are required to notify the purchaser by email with full contact details that they intend to participate, this will facilitate issuance of notifications by the purchaser to all bidders where necessary. The Bidding Documents will be collected from the address below upon production of a purchase receipt. No arrangements have been made for other methods of delivery of bidding documents.

6. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 11.00 am Friday 7th July 2023 (EAT). The bids must be clearly marked “Supply and delivery of office furniture and equipment, Contract No. KE- KWAWASCO - 358910 - GO - RFB”. Electronic bidding will NOT be permitted.  Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on 11.00am Friday 7th July 2023 (EAT)

7. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security in form of a bank guarantee of Kshs. 150,000.00 (Kenya Shillings One Hundred and fifty Thousand Only)

8.Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document
