Synopsis:
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Production and Conservation – Acquisition and Procurement Division is anticipating issuing a Request for Quotes (RFQ) on or about May 20, 2024, in accordance with FAR Part 13 on behalf of the USDA - Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) to furnish and install a new seed storage cooler desiccant dehumidifier located at the New Jersey Plant Materials Center located at 1536 Route 9 North, Cape May Court House, Cape May County NJ.
The work will consist of providing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision required for removing and properly disposing of an existing seed cooler dehumidifier unit and furnishing, installing, and testing of a new seed cooler desiccant dehumidifier unit and accessories, such as humidistat controller and stainless-steel ductwork, and cleaning up the site as described in the scope of work.
This solicitation is a 100 percent Small Business set-aside. To be eligible for award, interested contractors must be registered in and must complete the annual representations and certifications electronically via the System for Award Management (SAM) at http://www.sam.gov
A firm fixed price construction contract is anticipated under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR Part 13.
The anticipated period of performance for this project is 15 calendar days from the date the contractor receives the Notice to Proceed (NTP).
The NAICS code for this solicitation is 238220, Plumbing, Heating, and Air-conditioning Contractors. The Small Business Size Standard for this NAICS is $19M.
In accordance with FAR 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project is between $25,000 and $100,000.
A site showing is anticipated and details will be included in the solicitation. Vendors will be highly encouraged to attend.
