TA-6847 NEP: Implementation Support to the South Asia Subregional Economic Cooperation Customs and Logistics Reforms Program - System Developer (54402-002)

Objectives: Department of Customs is introducing several measures to strike a balance between trade facilitation and control by implementing the Customs Reform and Modernization Plan 2021-2026. Asian Development Bank (ADB) supports this reform program through legislative reform, automation, risk management, and capacity development. The objective is to strengthen the valuation database system based on the WTO Agreement and ADB seeks consultancy to study the existing system and integrate this database with the Customs Automation System, using advanced technologies to enhance efficiency and decision-making processes.
