Procurement of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Equipment

Objectives: The objective of the Procurement of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Equipment is to support the Moldova Energy Security Activity (MESA), funded by the United States Agency for International Development, in strengthening Moldova’s energy security by advancing physical and market integration of Moldova's energy sector with Europe, increasing renewable energy integration, boosting investment in energy efficiency and domestic power generation, particularly through renewable energy technologies, enhancing the resilience of Moldova’s power system, and deploying assets for frequency control reserves and automatic frequency restoration reserves to improve the reliability and stability of Moldova’s transmission system, provide balancing services to neighbors, and facilitate the integration of solar and wind resources.
