Objectives: WCS, in collaboration with the Congolese Government, is working on a long-term conservation initiative in Northern Congo focused on preserving biodiversity. Through the "Environmental Partnership, Poultry Industry Development, and Revenue Diversification (EPP-P)" program, WCS seeks to introduce domestic animal protein alternatives for communities reliant on bush meat and promote socio-economic reconversion within the bush meat value chain. By developing the poultry industry with the Sasso chicken breed via 11 hatchery units in Ouesso, the program aims to boost local poultry farming and offer economic opportunities.
