Objectives: The main objectives of the EpiC project in the Kyrgyz Republic are to attain and maintain HIV epidemic control among at-risk adult men, women, key populations (KP), and priority populations (PP). This involves improving program management by utilizing health information systems (HIS) and human resources in health management to support epidemic control efforts. Furthermore, the project aims to transition funding and operational responsibility to capable local partners, aligning with PEPFAR's goal of directing 70% of funding to local partners by 2020. These objectives are part of a broader strategy to enhance HIV case detection, prevention, treatment programming, and viral load suppression, and to bolster public health systems for effective infectious disease response.
