Objectives: The Kerala Sustainable Coastal Protection and Climate Resilience Planning Project aims to protect, restore, and manage Kerala's coastal environment sustainably, implement long-term climate-resilient protection measures in high-risk areas, enhance the resilience of coastal communities through environmentally and socially appropriate interventions, and strengthen institutional capacity for effective shoreline management. The project prioritizes 12 high-risk coastal sites for urgent protection using integrated management strategies and includes technical assistance for fisheries-based livelihood resilience and community empowerment strategies to support Kerala's coastal communities sustainably.
