UNDP-ECU-00626 IC Evaluación Final Proyecto Manejo integrado de los recursos hídricos de las cuencas binacionales Mira, Mataje y Carchi-Guáitara, Colombia – Ecuador

Objectives: The main objective of the 'Integrated Management of Water Resources for the Transboundary Basins Mira, Mataje, and Carchi-Guáitara' project is to promote integrated water resources management (IWRM) in the shared basins of Ecuador and Colombia. It aims at strengthening institutional and management capacities at regional, local, and community levels to achieve environmental and socio-economic benefits. The project focuses on water governance and involves four components: participatory water management diagnosis, development of formal strategic action programs, human and social capital building through training, and practical pilot exercises on key water issues.
