Objectives: The goal of the "Projet Intégré de Mobilisation des Eaux de surface (PIME)" is to reduce socio-economic vulnerabilities and tensions in intervention regions by securing food and facilitating access to natural resources. It consists of two main components: 1) construction of 36 dams across 9 regions with accompanying activities to sustainably improve access to water resources for agricultural and pastoral use, and 2) support for improved governance, including rural water reform, integrated water resource management, capacity building of the MHA, and deployment of a national water and sanitation information system.
