Objectives: The Asian Development Bank (ADB) is partnering with the Reserve Bank of Fiji to implement a National Digital ID and electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) program in Fiji. This initiative aims to create a digital identity system using unique identifiers and biometric data to streamline processes like customer verification in banking. The project will develop a public-private partnership to harness private sector efficiency. Key stages involve creating an implementation strategy, preparing the project technically, tendering, and selecting an Overall Systems Developer to manage and implement solutions, while also ensuring local capacity building in Fiji.
