Objectives: The tender aims to engage an experienced environmental policy specialist to conduct a comprehensive analysis of policies and institutions related to biodiversity in El Salvador. This analysis will contribute to developing a Biodiversity Finance Plan under the BIOFIN methodology framework. The main objective is to map, analyze, and improve the economic, legal, and exploratory dimensions affecting biodiversity, ensuring alignment with the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework's national and international goals. The project seeks to generate actionable insights and recommendations to enhance the strategic response towards sustainable biodiversity financing and policy-making, ultimately supporting the integration of biodiversity finance policies into the broader economic and environmental strategies of El Salvador.
