THIS IS A PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE FOR A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP). Proposals shall only be requested and accepted from contractors who are a Small Business AND certified in System for Award Management (SAM, https://sam.gov).

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), United States Forest Service (USFS), has a requirement for but not limited to the following:

Project Description: The general project overview consists of, but not limited to, remove and stockpile aggregate base and rip rap, prepare surface of identified damaged areas, backfill damaged areas with aggregate base or rip rap and compact, recondition and grade roadway, recondition rolling dips, place cold patch where needed to existing AC surface and compact, uniformly apply asphalt chip-seal, and install object markers for traffic control.

Project Location: The project area is on the Orleans Ranger District of the Six Rivers National Forest, California. Forest Service Road 10N01, 10N10, and Orlean Mountain Road are located southeast of Hwy 96.

Solicitation Number 127EAW25R0061 for this effort will be posted to SAM.gov (https://sam.gov) on or about September 2nd, 2025.  This solicitation will contain all necessary specifications, drawings and other information necessary submit a proposal for this project.

There is currently no official group site visit scheduled. The solicitation will include site visit information if one is deemed necessary.

Disclosure of the magnitude of construction projects: The estimated cost of the total project is expected to be between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00.
