1. The Government of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Lowlands Livelihood Resilience Project (LLRP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for the Construction of three small scale irrigation development projects.
2. The Afar Lowlands Livelihood Resilience Project (LLRP) now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders having Water works contractor level 3 and above.

1. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulation. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
2. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Afar Lowlands Livelihood Resilience Project (LLRP), Regional Project Coordination Unit with the email: afarllrp@gmail.com Cc abuzakir4@gmail.com and inspect the bidding documents during office hours 7:00-12:00 am (morning) and 3:00-6:00pm (afternoon) at the address given below.
3. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment for free. The document will be sent by hand delivery procedures.
4. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before, September 11. 2023, 09:30 AM(03;30 local Time). Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on September 11.2023, 10:00 AM(04;00 local Time).
5. All bids must be accompanied by a “Bid Security” of ETB 250,000.00(Two Hundred Fifty Thousand birr) only in the form of CPO or unconditional bid bound guarantee.
6. If the purchaser firm shall have a right to reject the bid fully or partially.
7. Having Renewed Trading License for the year 2015 EFY,TIN (Tax Identification Number), VAT Registration Certificate. Registration in public procurement and property Administration suppliers list ,Tax clearance certificate Valid for 2015 EFY and Power of Attorney.
