Description

March 2025 – The population in Gaza continues to grapple with severe shortages of food, healthcare, medical supplies, clean water, and fuel. The UN estimates that the entire population of Gaza, more than 2 million people, require emergency assistance. Concurrently, the West Bank is facing escalating violence, significant displacement, and movement restrictions, all of which are worsening the overall humanitarian crisis. With GAC’s support, the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) emergency response in the West Bank and Gaza contributes to meeting Palestinian refugees’ needs. Project activities include: providing emergency assistance, including food, healthcare, water and protection services to meet the basic needs of Palestinian refugees in Gaza and the West Bank.

Expected results

The expected outcomes of this project include: improved access to emergency assistance to meet the basic needs of Palestinian refugees in the West Bank and Gaza, including food, healthcare, water, and protection services. The expected ultimate outcome is lives saved, suffering alleviated, and human dignity maintained in countries experiencing humanitarian crises or acute food insecurity.
