1.       The Government of Kenya h as receivedfinancing from the World Bank toward the cost of the implementation of the Kenya Climate Smart Agricultural Project (KCS AP), andintends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Rehabilitation and upgrading of Wajir Livestoc kTraining Institute (Electrical and Mechanical Works).

3.       Biddingwill be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specifi ed in the World Bank’s Guidelines:Procurement of Goods under IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers, d ated January 2011 and revised in July 2014- (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as def ined in the Procurement Guidelines. Inaddition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict ofinterest.

5.       A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchasedby interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundablee byee of KES. 1000/=. The method of payment will be cash or Bankers Cheque in favour of the Principal Secretary, StateDepart nt of Crop Development and Agricultural Research at the cash office situated at KilimoHouse, Lower ground floor; Cathedral road, Nairobi.  The bidding document may be collected from theKCSAP SupplyChain Management office upon production of a purchase receipt. The bidding documents may be also downloaded free ofcharge from theMinistry’s Website: www.kilimo.go.ke. Bidders who download the bidding document are requested to inform theProcuring Entity and fully provide their contact details.  This will be used in the event of a need to communicate to all theinterested bidders . 

6.       A MANDATORY Pre-Tender Site Visit shall beconducted by the em ployer on Tue 5th May 2020 at 10.00am at Wajir Livestock Training Institute, WajirCounty.

7.   &nb sp;   Bids must be delivered to the address below and submitted onor before 10.00 a.m. East Africa Time on 23rd May, 2020. Electronicbidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend.

8.       All bids must be accompaniedby a “Bid Security” in the form of a Bank Guarantee asfollows:
