Multinational - Support Project for G5 Sahel Member Countries to Combat the Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic - Project Appraisal Report

Management submits the following report and recommendation on a proposal to award an ADF grant of UA 15 million to the G5 Sahel Secretariat for its member countries (Burkina Faso, Mali, Mauritania, Niger and Chad) to finance the exceptional and emergency regional operation to combat COVID-19 in G5 Sahel countries. A grant of UA 1 million from TSF Pillar III resources has been approved by RDVP to finance the operation. This is a regional project that will be implemented as a Regional Public Good (RPG) over a period of 18 months from June 2020 to December 2021. This project falls within the framework of the COVID-19 Rapid Response Facility.
