Description

The German International Cooperation (GIZ) is looking for “Development of a framework strategy for a SADC wildlife-based economy”. SADC Ministers of Environment, Natural Resources and Tourism want to develop a framework strategy particularly involving such elements as the roles and responsibilities of Member States and relevant regional institutions, including the SADC Secretariat and other related stakeholders. Moreover, the consulting organization will conduct consultations with SADC Member States to ensure the harmony of efforts, compile a zero draft and case studies of Situation Analysis of a wildlife-based economy in SADC region, assess the current size of the wildlife economic activities (Wildlife Filming & Photography, Ecotourism, Hunting Tourism, Carbon Financing/Markets), etc. Other tasks can be accessed in the attachments. The contract duration will not exceed 60 working days. Eligible bidders are encouraged to submit their applications providing they have a minimum MSc degree in Economics/Biodiversity Management/Wildlife/Natural Resources Management/Public Policy and at least 10 years’ experience in the field. The submitted documents must include a technical proposal, CV, financial proposal and business registration.
