REQUEST FOR EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST FOR CONSULTING FIRMS
Provision of Training on Gender Transformative Climate Change Adaptation (GTCCA)
- The African Development Bank (AfDB) hereby invites Consulting Firms to indicate their interest in the Provision of Training on Gender Transformative Climate Change Adaptation (GTCCA).
- Through the Africa Climate Change Fund (ACCF or Fund), AfDB seeks to invite expressions of interest from firms with expertise in development of capacity, development of training programs, conducting trainings especially in the areas of gender and climate change with international institutions including the AfDB in African countries. In particular, interested firms shall have proven experience and expertise in capacity building in gender and climate change based on Gender Transformative Approach (GTA) and Rights-Based Approach (RBA) in the African context.
- The services to be covered under the terms of the assignment include, but are not limited, to the following (further details are outlined in the Annex: Terms of Reference):
- Develop a training module on GTA and RBA;
- Develop a brochure with tailored message to improve the application of GTA and RBA in climate change adaptation;
- Deliver the training ; and
- Submit a detailed training report which should include summary of results achieved (and clearly state if the training would significantly lead to attitudinal change with clear examples in GTA and RBA)
- The ACCF invites Consulting Firms to indicate their interest in providing the above-described services. Interested eligible firms or associations of firms shall provide information on their qualifications and experience while demonstrating their ability to successfully provide the services (documentation, references for similar services, experience in similar assignments, availability of qualified staff, etc.).
- The eligibility criteria, the establishment of a short list and the selection procedures shall be in conformity with the Presidential Directive No 02/2012 Concerning the Procedures for Acquisition of Consulting Services funded by the Administrative or Capital Expenditure Budget of the Bank Group and its Implementation Manual which are available for consultation on AfDB’s website at www.afdb.org. Please note that interest expressed by a Consulting Firm does not imply any obligation on the part of the Bank to include that firm in the shortlist.
- The assignment is expected to last for a period of 40 days spread over two and half months (the Contract itself will cover a period of six months) and the estimated starting date is June 2022. In case of need, interested Consulting Firms may obtain additional information by contacting the email addresses below during the Bank’s working days, from 09:00 to 17:00 hours.
- Expressions of interest must be delivered via email to the addresses below no later than 8TH June 2022 at 17:00 Abidjan local time and specifically mention Provision of Training on Gender Transformative Climate Change Adaptation (GTCCA).
