OGResearch (Hungary)

Our mission is to offer advanced and innovative solutions in macroeconomic modeling and forecasting. Our models, software and forecasting systems can support policy making in central banks as well as pricing of financial instruments. We work on developed, emerging, as well as developing economies.

We combine our knowledge of policy making and technological edge to produce a tailor made product in a user friendly environment. We develop specialized forecasting and modeling software that is relied upon by professional forecasters and academic researchers alike. Our experts have consulted central banks, the IMF and other institutions on forecasting systems, policy making and regime transitions.

While working for both private and public institutions, we believe our work can contribute to general economic welfare by promoting good practices in the conduct of monetary and fiscal policies, facilitating transitions between different nominal anchors, reducing macroeconomic vulnerabilities in emerging and developing economies, and contributing to local currency market development.

OGR opened an office in Budapest, Hungary in the summer of 2014. The Hungarian branch of OGR is involved in the same tasks as the Prague based center, in addition to which it undertakes certain Hungarian projects.
