Joma Surface Treatment (Joma International AS)

Joma Surface Treatment is a branch under Tiotech AS (formerly Joma InternationalAS). We are a nanotechnology company located in Bergen, Norway. We specialise in titania nanoparticles and photocatalysis. Joma International AS was founded in 2005 with a plan to mine and utilize various metals from the mountain Joma in mid-Norway. The focus later turned towards titania and how to make nanoparticles from this material. During a thorough development phase we created a unique nanoparticle with a patented and scalable production process.

Joma Surface Treatment is an R&D driven company and we are actively exploring new areas of use for our particle. In 2014, we built up an in-house lab for analysis and development, which allows us to formulate products with our tiny particles as the key component. The development work is driven by close collaborations with our customers, to find the best suited products for their needs. We have high standards when it comes to quality and performance, and are committed to our customers.

We make surface treatment products for many different surfaces, because we do not believe that one single product can serve all applications.

Our products which are tailor-made for concrete and wood are now ready to hit the market – to make the world a cleaner place.

We have strong focus on research and development, and we have our own in-house development and analysis lab. It has been run continuously for modification, quality control and testing of our products since 2014.
