Description

At Design for Social Impact Lab, our purpose is to create a profound social impact by revolutionising the way organisations and individuals approach social change. In the pursuit of social impact, creating inclusive, anti-discriminatory and anti-racist monitoring, evaluation and research and learning is not just an option but a necessity.

Through our collaborative approach to online training, we equip civil society organisations, academic institutions, and individuals with the necessary tools and knowledge to design and deliver equity-centred programme design including monitoring, evaluation, research and learning.

Our lead trainer, Jess Oddy, has a PhD in Education and 13 years experience working in the social impact sector - from small grassroots organisations to INGOs including the Norwegian Refugee Council, Save the Children, War Child and UNHCR. Jess now draws upon her knowledge to help organisations and individuals design equity-centred programmes, policies and research that place communities and causes at the heart of social impact work.

Each year, we bring hundreds of learners together to work on ways to design equity-centred programs, policies and research. This year, we're launching an innovative initiative where students in our Rebellious Research for Social Action, Equity X Education and Design for Social Impact courses will work directly on real-life case studies as part of their learning journey.

And this is where you come in!

We want organisations to submit their equity challenges.

You may be grappling with how to make your programs more participatory, you may want to set up youth or community-led advisory structures but don't know where to start.

Submit your design challenge to us and for 8 weeks, our learners will ideate solutions. The benefits are twofold- our learners get to work on real-life issues and you get brilliant minds working to solve your problem for free!

You'll receive fresh perspectives and innovative solutions from brilliant minds, and they will have the opportunity to put theory into practice.
