The Strategic Plan of the Ministry of Economy and Finance is a framework for establishing the institution's priority goals, as well as for the allocation of budgetary resources. In this sense, in accordance with the proposal of the Office of Planning and Budget (OPP), the Mission and Vision of the Organization was established, its objectives both at the level of Section and Executing Units and the goals to be achieved. The degree of compliance with the strategic plan of an institution shows to what extent the results obtained are close to the previously set goals. Compliance with Section and its Executing Units is approximated through the addition of its indicators.

Mission

The Ministry of Economy and Finance is responsible for the superior conduct of national economic, financial and commercial policy; It coordinates fiscal policy, its planning and carries out the programming and control of its execution, as well as the administration of public resources of all origin in accordance with established priorities, promoting the economic and social development of the country.

Vision

Improve the quality of life of Uruguayans, creating the necessary conditions so that, from a growing equity in access to social opportunities, the members of our society can aspire to be fully realized as human beings
