David Yates is a British national currently living in Belgrade, Serbia. For 25 years David worked for JP Morgan leaving in 1995 as a Vice President. His experience during this employment covered most aspects of international banking essentially in the corporate world. He rose through Banking Operations to Credit Officer of the Trading operations including Money Markets, Capital Markets and Derivatives and finally VP Head Global Markets administration.
After JP Morgan David ventured into to Consultancy. He accepted positions in the funding of numerous development projects in the former Soviet Union and Balkans. Employers included IFC, EBRD, PwC and Ernst and Young and projects ranged from SME finance and micro finance, Risk management, Credit Risk and Analysis and including operational reorganisation of local financial institutions.
David developed training programs for ING and other financial institutions in Banking Operations, Risk Management and Credit Analysis.
During his travels and encounters with new cultures and political regimes an interest in international studies developed.
In 2016 David undertook a BSc degree with the London School of Economics and Political Science in “Politics and International Relations” graduating in 2020.
